From Our Website

NRS has been in roofing since 1968. The Sussex-based roofing company was established as Nationwide Roofing Contractors (NRC) in 1968 by John Hall. It is now run by his son, Lee Hall. From the beginning QUALITY has always been our aim: quality materials and quality workmanship. All our roofers have a minimum NVQ Level 2 qualification and carry Skilled Worker CSCS cards. We take the safety of our clients, employees and the public seriously, and all our equipment and working practices meet the requirements laid out by The Construction (Design and Management) Regulations 2015.

Installing a new pitched roof or looking to repair or replace your weathered one? As experienced roofing contractors we can advise you on the best roofing materials to fit the style of your property and your budget. Besides constructing pitched roofs using traditional slate and clay roofing tiles, we are also experienced in installing lighter, modern pitched roofing systems that may suit your building better. Our slate roofing services range from installing new slate roofs to doing small repairs and roof refurbishments.

Are you looking to replace your existing roof, re-roof using a different roofing material, or convert a flat roof into a pitched roof? Do you need just a garage roof replacement or hundreds of square metres of roof re-waterproofed? We can help you with any of these, and are happy to discuss what materials or approaches could work best. Technically, any refurbishment where more than 25% of the roof needs to be replaced counts as re-roofing. This is relevant because it affects your obligations under UK building regulations.

We are specialists in green roof construction. We have been the roofing contractors for buildings with both non-accessible living roofs (such as sedum roofs) and accessible roof gardens, where just certain areas are of the roof are planted. We have installed living roofs of all sizes across Sussex, Hampshire and Surrey, and would be glad to discuss your green roof project and show you examples of the roofs we have built. Extensive green roofs are also called non-accessible green roofs or living roofs.

With new roofing technologies, there are now many lightweight, long-lasting options for insulating and waterproofing flat roofs. Whether you need a cost-effective flat roof replacement for your garage, a high-quality insulated roofing system for your new extension, or a system that works for unusual roof shapes, we can advise you and install the best flat roof system for your budget. Single-ply membranes can be used on new flat roofs or roof refurbishments. This roof waterproofing system is hardwearing and flexible.

We construct roofs for new build homes, loft conversions, garages, extensions and complex commercial or industrial buildings. No new roof is too big or too small. It can be pitched or flat, in traditional or modern roofing materials. As long as it's in Sussex, Surrey or Hampshire we can advise you on your options and give you a competitive quote for your new roof. Most of the new or replacement roofs we install are covered by a 10 to 20-year insurance-backed guarantee (IBG). This roofing guarantee covers both the materials and the workmanship.

Your new or replacement roof will be fully guaranteed with the manufacturer if you choose to use one of the roofing systems for which we are an approved contractor. As approved roofing contractors we must meet the installation specifications that are set by the manufacturers of the roofing materials we use. This qualifies your roof for an insurance-backed roofing guarantee (IBG). The advantage of a roofing guarantee with the manufacturer is that, it covers you even if the company that installed your roof is no longer trading.
