English Hand Made Plain & Kent Peg Roof Tiles
Based on the Romney Marsh in Kent, and using traditional production skills, our clay roof tiles offer a link with the past.
Combining the natural properties of clay, sand facing, and individualised hand making gives our tiles their antique variation
New to 2008 is our ability to now offer two distinct range of tiles.
Our Traditional range continues over 20 years of tradition by having a large degree of double camber. This results in the greater contours of the roof appearance without laying machine made pan (corrugated) tiles.
Our Conservation range caters for the desire to have much less camber on each tile. This is in keeping with the heritage of Peg tile designs, and is available in our proven Tradional colours
With the ability to produce the Conservation range, we can now off bespoke size manufacture.
We maintain the highest standards of service to our customers, who take pleasure in knowing that they have enhanced the quality of their property, and the environment.

Whether ventilating roof spaces, soil pipes, or used as mechanical extraction outlets, Tudor offers two solutions. Tudor have patented a unique UNDER-TILE venting system, designed to complement the company's range of hand made clay tiles and fittings. The system has been developed with the co-operation of County Planning Building Control. A unique feature of Tudor roof tiles is the large degree of cross camber. The venting system takes advantage of this feature, with an average gap between the top tile and the pair beneath of approximately 6mm tapering to nothing, giving a venting space of 480mm per tile.
Tudor Roof Tile Co Ltd offers a wide range of bespoke and non-standard peg and plain clay roof tiles designed to match the varied sizing requirements of old and historic buildings in order to help renovators replicate and preserve the architectural integrity and original character of older properties. These individual sizes and shapes can also be tailored to modern specifications in order to make new build projects truly unique. The Royal Charter of 1477 decreed that English clay peg tiles should be 10" x 6".
Our customers have the assurance of knowing that all our clay products are manufactured in England, and comply with UKCA and CE Marking to British and European standard BS EN 1304, which legislates for externally tested and verified quality of roof tiles.
If your property is curently, has recently, or is suspected of ever having been, home to any number of bats, legislation requires you to take expert advice and precautions when replacing a roof. This legislation requires provision to allow access for bats if they, or when they, return. An innovative range of 'bat access tiles' from Tudor Roof Tile Co Ltd, is helping builders and conservationists protect Britain's endangered bat population. Designed to take advantage of Tudor tiles double camber, the access solutions will also work in all plain tile roof coverings (of any brand).
