For a complimentary inspection and quotation, homeowners can telephone 020 8138 0918.We place considerable importance on explaining the condition of a roof before any commitment is made. Patrick personally assesses the fault and supplies photographs, or video when appropriate, so customers can see the issue for themselves. Only after the proposed work and price have been discussed do we proceed with the customer's agreement. Our pricing is established in advance, without hidden charges, and payment is due on completion. We are fully insured and provide a 10-year guarantee, with protection available for up to 20 years depending on the specific job. Our team also takes responsibility for clearing away waste and leaving the working area clean. Having completed more than 400 projects, we have received a 5.0 rating from 30 Google reviews. We carry out roof repairs, identifying leaks and replacing damaged tiles or slates, as well as refixing ridge tiles where necessary. Patrick personally inspects the roof, photographs the fault and presents the evidence before any tiles are disturbed. As water can travel along battens and rafters, we investigate the underlying cause rather than relying solely on the visible damp patch.
When repeated repairs no longer protect your property from the elements, our roof replacement service offers a practical solution. We begin with a complimentary inspection, examining the tiles, felt, battens and timbers before sharing photographs of our findings. You receive a single written price before agreeing to proceed. Our team installs a new breathable membrane, battens and tiles or slates, removes the old materials, cleans the site and accepts payment once you are satisfied.
We provide professional flat roof repairs to identify leaks at their source and restore your roof's watertight condition. Our approach includes inspecting the ceiling, roof covering, upstands, outlets and trims before documenting the problem with photographs. We agree the price in advance, with no hidden fees, and payment is only required once the repair is complete.
We replace roofs using a carefully planned process that combines structural inspection, suitable materials and clear pricing. After examining the existing covering and supporting timbers, we photograph our findings and explain why replacement may be necessary. The old roof is removed before new membrane, treated battens and the selected covering are installed, with dry-fix detailing completing the roof edges and ridge. We clear the site when the work is finished, and you pay only upon completion under the agreed quotation.
We respond to urgent roofing problems by identifying the source of water ingress and taking appropriate steps to secure the roof. Patrick inspects the damage directly, records the findings in photographs and discusses the proposed work with you. Before our team proceeds, we agree the price without hidden fees. Where weather conditions or materials prevent a complete repair, we first ensure the roof is watertight.
Our roof damage repair service addresses faults that can develop gradually through frost, ageing and exposure to changing weather conditions. We also correct problems left behind by previous unsuccessful repairs. Patrick begins by photographing the damage and discussing its likely cause with you. Before any work starts, we explain the cost and agree the price together.
Our approach to new guttering begins with measuring every gutter run and downpipe and checking the fascia boards that will support the new brackets. We explain the differences between half-round, square and ogee uPVC profiles before agreeing the price and ordering materials. During installation, we remove the existing system, fit the replacement components and check that water flows correctly. Every completed installation comes with a 10-year guarantee, potentially extending to 20 years depending on the job.
We restore damaged chimney stacks through targeted repairs designed to address the source of water ingress. Cracked flaunching is removed and rebuilt around the pots, unstable pots are rebedded, and cowls are fitted where required. We also repoint deteriorating brickwork and renew failed flashing using code 4 lead and lead seal. Patrick shares photographs before work begins, and payment is due upon completion.
Our roofing team repairs existing slate roofs and carries out replacements for Victorian terraces and villas in Croydon and Streatham. Natural slate and slate-effect options are available to suit the roofing work required. Ageing fixings can cause slates to hang lower than adjacent pieces, and numerous lead or copper strips may indicate repeated nail failure. Payment is only required once the work is finished and the site is clean.
Our tiled roofing services encompass concrete interlocking roof replacements for 1930s semis and repairs to clay plain tile roofs. When porous concrete tiles become a concern, we inspect the roof and provide a written quotation at no cost, with no obligation to accept. As years of weathering remove the surface coating, rainwater soaks into the tiles, moss grows and their weight increases; frost can then penetrate and crack them.
Our EPDM rubber roofing provides a durable solution for flat roofs affected by repeated leaks, splitting felt or ageing coverings. We use a single sheet of Firestone RubberCover on most house roofs, reducing the risk associated with overlapping seams. The material resists ultraviolet exposure and temperature changes, while each completed roof benefits from a 10-year guarantee, extendable to 20 years depending on the job.
For flat roofs requiring a strong and tidy finish, we offer GRP fibreglass roofing designed to withstand everyday use. Its rigid construction makes it suitable for accessible roof areas, while the smooth, coloured surface improves the appearance of extensions and dormers. We prepare the deck, reinforce it with glass mat and resin, apply the topcoat and remove waste after installation.
At Apex, we carry out torch-on felt roofing with a mineral cap sheet for extensions, garages and dormers. Our approach begins with photographs of your roof, allowing Patrick to identify and show you each split before any agreement is made. Ageing felt can craze under the effects of sun and frost, and a blister that breaks may allow rainwater to penetrate the roof deck.
Our fascia and soffit replacement service addresses damaged timber before the problem spreads. We assess all elevations, including bays and porches, and provide photographs of softened boards for your consideration. Rather than automatically replacing everything, we identify which sections remain serviceable and price the necessary work accordingly. New uPVC boards are installed, roof timbers are checked and repaired where required, and existing guttering is refitted securely.
We specialise in renewing lead flashing at the junctions between roofs, chimneys and walls, replacing deteriorated material with code 4 lead where required. Our process begins with photographs from multiple angles, enabling Patrick to identify visible damage and explain the problem before a price is agreed. Installation includes step flashing, a front apron and a rear back gutter, followed by checks to nearby tiles.
With over 30 years of experience, Apex provides repointing to renew the mortar joints of chimney stacks and brick walls. Our approach involves carefully raking out the existing mortar and refilling the joints with fresh material chosen to match the brickwork. Deteriorated mortar can allow rainwater to gather in gaps, making timely attention important. We offer free quotations from photographs, alongside guarantees of 10 years and up to 20 years for certain jobs.
From an isolated dripping connection to a gutter run that has come away from its supporting fascia, we undertake repairs to restore effective drainage. We first assess the entire system, photograph the faults and discuss the work required before confirming the price. Damaged components are replaced, additional brackets are fitted where needed, and the gutter is positioned to drain correctly. We check the result by running water through the system, with payment due on completion.
Our gutter cleaning service is designed to restore clear drainage throughout your property's guttering. We remove and bag the collected debris, unblock outlets and swan necks, and flush each downpipe with water. If we find a dripping joint, we clean the area, allow it to dry and seal it properly. Photographic records taken before and after show the difference our work makes.
We specialise in repairing roofs affected by strong winds and storms, addressing displaced tiles, weakened ridges and newly developed leaks. Our priority is to stop water entering the property, followed by a thorough assessment of the damage. Photographic evidence is supplied to support your records and any insurance claim, while all repair costs are confirmed in writing before work commences.
Falling mortar around ridge tiles or gable ends can indicate that the roof's bedding has deteriorated, leaving tiles vulnerable to strong gusts and creating openings for rainwater. We replace this failing mortar with screwed and clipped dry ridge and dry verge systems in Croydon. Patrick supplies photographs of the cracked bedding before work is agreed, drawing on our experience of over 400 completed projects.
